Overcome Writer’s Block With Plinky Prompts — Blog — WordPress.com

Each weekday, Plinky provides a prompt — like a question or a challenge — and you type in an answer. To keep it interesting, prompts are a mixed bag of fun commands (“Write a haiku about the last meal you ate”) to more thoughtful questions (“What is your favorite summer memory?”)

This is quite a nice service. I’m a firm advocate that you need to monitor – that, in fact, EVERY company should monitor what people are saying about them, their competitors, and their issues online – and that this monitoring, in turn, gives you ideas for posting. But if you want someone – ok, a machine – to prompt you on a daily basis, then this could be the answer. I’ve not tried it, mainly because I monitor (!), but it’s definitely worth a go if you’re a blogger and in need of inspiration. Nice joined-up thinking for WordPress themselves to have touted it.
