Some food for thought:
- Videocasting – you can already do this to an extent with YouTube.
- Person-as-broadcast-brand – the ultimate expression of videocasting could be Justin.TV and it’s here, now.
- Vertical searches – have been creating a buzz but I don’t think they’re there yet.
- Niche social networks – as opposed to broad networks – are coming along.
The overarching theme here is ‘web-as-personalisation’. We’ve gone from web-as-information to web-as-interaction but now people want more specific experiences.
