A brief bio
Brendan was one of the five-strong team to set up Sharepages.com and was publications manager for its parent company, Knowledge Technology Solutions.
He has worked in publications, communications and social media strategy for world-leading brands such as ADP and Imagination Technologies, and agencies such as Porter Novelli and Fleishman-Hillard.
Brendan has been quoted by the BBC, Brand Republic and PR Week, and featured in Communication Director as a blogger (see left) and as a social media commentator (click for PDF).
He regularly appears on lists of online influencers in PR, social media and marketing, such as Ad Age’s Power150 list of top global marketing blogs, From PR to Eternity’s Top PR Blogs, Spinning Around’s Top Marketing Blogs, BlogRank’s Top Social Media Blogs, Ewan CarMichaels’ top 50 social media blogs of 2011, and the BrandWatch 200 list of the best advertising, marketing, media, PR and digital blogs from around the world, ranked in terms of traffic and social influence.
That’s the pro stuff out of the way. More importantly, Brendan likes recording nice guitar parts then ruining them with synths and samples, going for long walks, especially in Avebury during midsummer, and lives with his lovely partner, two cats, a tortoise and a 1976 Triumph Spitfire in Buckinghamshire, near a church with a duck pond.
