@Kyle – SEO is, of itself, an immense and complicated subject. I’m probably in a similar situation to you in that, while I’m aware of it and have tried to employ it in the past – in web design, blog copy and so on – there are indeed specialists out there who can make this really work for you. Nice point.

@Gerry – Strangely enough, I was referring to the google.com search in my post simply because I figure that’s more ‘universal’. If you do the google.co.uk search however, you get *a different Brendan Cooper* who is, bizarrely, my age and a blogger. But most definitely not me.

This is an important topic, for individuals and companies a like. When I was on the agency side this was certainly something we tried to help with, but I have to say since I know work directly with SEO smarties I’ve come to learn so much…and I put it into play for myself.

It is actually amazing how effectively it works it you do some homework and do it the right way!
