Let’s make things clearer

Everywhere I look, I see examples of simple concepts made very difficult to understand. Often this is simply because they’re expressed badly. Sometimes, this is because people can’t express themselves clearly: but on the whole I have a sneaking feeling it’s because they like to show off. They like to use many complicated words when just a few will do. They like to draw diagrams with arrows everywhere that only make sense when you already understand what they’re trying to say.

This blog’s going to clear the way. It’s going to show how the friendly ghost is really that element of communication that you don’t see – communication done well. When someone is really communicating effectively, you just don’t notice it. Everything is as it should be. It’s only when people let words or pictures – or ego – get in the way that the communication goes bad.
